R.E.Y. provided grant application preparation services for proposed improvements to State Route (SR) 26 at Olive Orchard Road and Garner Place in Calaveras County. The project is needed to address high collision rates at the project location. The project was only partially funded due to the extent of Caltrans-required improvements exceeding available funding.

R.E.Y. identified this project as a good candidate for the Rural and Tribal Assistance Pilot Program. Created by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to enhance the Build America Bureau’s capacity to help more communities advance transformative infrastructure projects that enhance the safety, efficiency, and equity of the country’s transportation system, this new program was designed to support communities without the resources to explore innovative financing and project delivery methods for their projects.

R.E.Y. worked with the County to develop and submit the grant application in just 3 weeks.
