R.E.Y. assisted the City of Placerville in obtaining funding for active transportation improvements to Placerville Drive in the City of Placerville. Planned improvements included constructing continuous bicycle facilities and sidewalks to increase cyclist and pedestrian safety and flow and allowing more convenient access to the surrounding area. Though a previous Active Transportation Program (ATP) Cycle 4 application (completed by others) was not successful in obtaining funding, R.E.Y. was able to revamp the cost estimates, qualitative and quantitative information, and exhibits to efficiently and cost-effectively apply for and procure over $18.5 million through a combination of subsequent ATP cycles and discretionary funds from the 2016 and 2019 Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Program (CMAQ) to fully fund the project.
