R.E.Y. provided a full range of project management and civil design services for this project to replace the existing 4” and 6” parallel waterlines with a new 8” waterline and install new water services, fire hydrants, and water sampling stations. Some of the existing facilities were believed to be over 70 years old, and consideration of their fragility was integrated into the plans and special provisions. Approximately 5,000 linear feet of waterline was constructed parallel to the existing system and tested prior to swapping 64 residence, business and school services. Because the project area was community-centered, special care was given to pre-planning and advance notification to stakeholders, and notices were hand delivered.
