R.E.Y performed a land surveying and boundary analysis for approximately 75 miles of County Road segments in Nevada County. This involved record right-of-way research, topographic surveying, and GIS deliverables. To kick off the project, R.E.Y. used GIS online mapping to prioritize roads and visualize how they related to each other in order to ensure efficiency for our crews. Once the roads were surveyed, R.E.Y. delivered CAD linework. Based on that linework, R.E.Y also designed a geodatabase for Nevada County’s GIS department which included the survey results. This will make it easier to share information with the public and view data alongside existing GIS data.
